Learn and Practice Buddhism in the City
We welcome everyone to visit IBMC to practice meditation, learn Buddhism, participate in retreats, and attend our events throughout the calendar year!
Zendo Etiquette
Please dress comfortable with loose fitting clothing that is comfortable enough to allow sitting cross-legged on the floor. Shoulders and knees, should be covered. Please do not wear bare midriffs or low-cut shirt fronts. Chairs are available for those who do not want to sit on the floor. You are welcome to bring your own zafu or zabuton for sitting.
For those with physical issues that make it difficult to sit cross-legged, meditating in a chair is perfectly acceptable.
Teachings are offered freely, but monetary and in-kind donations are always gratefully accepted.
